Our Venue

The Matson property has been a working farm for over two centuries. Since 1998, owners Stu and Linda Matson have improved and developed their homestead into a property worthy of sharing for events, weddings, and retreats. Stu and Linda continue to raise Angus cattle, chickens and ponies on the farm. Fields surrounding the venue are cultivated, planted and sown seasonally.

Over the years, the family has added a 36’x48’ timber pavilion, and an 18th century style log home. The pavilion provides open space perfect for dancing, as well as a bar, kitchenette, and social area. The pavilion has patios on each end, and a fully equipped bathroom can be found adjacent to the pavilion. The pavilion is surrounded by beautiful landscaping and flower gardens. A tree lined brook meanders through the property. A sprawling lawn connects the pavilion to an Adirondack lodging and a timber wedding arch. Meanwhile, the expansive front lawn is ideal for dinner tents.

Cross the brook over a wooden bridge, and follow the terraced steps to the Willow House. The Willow House overlooks the brook, pavilion, and lawns. The two -bedroom, 1.5 bath Willow House is used for overnight lodging, wedding day bridal party preparations, and includes a catering prep kitchen in the lower level.

The two person, three sided Adirondack on the grounds is a camping amenity, with a stone fireplace and its own fire pit. The Adirondack sits apart from the pavilion, at the edge of the brook, providing a quiet environment for contemplation and connecting with nature.
